Our Favorite Easter Pachal Lamb Sugar Cookies
Our family celebrates Easter/Pascha with two fun treats our kids love!
Today I'm sharing our Favorite Lamb Sugar Cookies, which we wrap in plastic baggies, tie with decorative ribbon and hide in the garden for the kids to find.
We also make fun Crown Packs, using crown stickers (found HERE) which are attached to a snack size bag of Sunspire natural candies (they're like m&m's) and hide a Bible verse on the back. The kids "hunt" for these as well and we make it an extension of our Resurrection and New Testament Studies from Grapevine Studies .
Both make GREAT gifts to give friends and neighbors!
Today I'm sharing the how-to on our Favorite Easter Paschal Lamb Sugar Cookies.
We use a simple sugar cookie and frosting recipe.
The cookies are cut out with these easy and durable lamb cookie cutters and the frosting is piped onto the cookies with a star tip (Wilton has a great inexpensive set HERE).
You may use a food safe edible color marker to draw on the face, but I just use a toothpick dipped in India Tree Natural food coloring and it works well!
Confession time: I am TERRIBLE at cake and cookie decorating and every year (most of) the cookies still turn out SO awesome that I have tons of confidence in recommending you give these a try even if you've never used a frosting bag before! [Is that what they're called? You know what I mean, the decorating contraption I linked above!]
