Maybe you're just not doing enough, Mom.

Here you are.

You're a Mom.

Giving of yourself. Every minute, after minute, after minute. Day after day. Weeks. Months. Years. You are guiding other lives.

Sometimes it feels like being a Mom isn't enough.

In this world of quantitative achievements where value is placed on everything BUT being a person. Just being a Mom means nothing.

If our children aren't highly achieving and our homes aren't bustling with spectacular gatherings and our portfolios aren't filled with extra community involvement activities, we're not just NOT DOING ENOUGH as Moms, but we may not be doing enough as women, either.

Do we DO enough to give us that excellent grade in success?

How do you even GET an excellent grade as a Mom?

Have you been so busy wondering about that and DOING things to chase that grade, that you have no idea what BEING ENOUGH as a Mom even means?

I've lost sight.

I've wrapped myself in worry, stress and insecurities.

I've pushed the bar so high that I lost the feeling of what it meant to BE ENOUGH in the small moments that I was created for.

I was not created to be a SUPER mom. I created her on Pinterest all by myself.

Did you?

I was created to BE. But I got overwhelmed in the DO.

I was created to BE real.

To BE authentic.

I was created to BE there.

Laughing together.

Playing together.

Chatting together.

Dancing together.

Holding together.

Crying together.

Giving of yourself. Every minute, after minute, after minute. Day after day. Weeks. Months. Years. You are guiding other lives.

Maybe you're just not DOING enough, Mom.

Because you're too busy BEING amazing.
