Slugs & Bugs Sing the Bible 2 <br> Review and GIVEAWAY!

We recently heard about Randall Goodgame's Slugs & Bugs music and were immediately drawn to the whimsical characters and silly melodies.
My kids are huge auditory learners and every favorite book that offers an audio resource must become part of our collection!
We are also connoisseurs of learning curriculum with corresponding cds, Scripture put to music, and a variety of story-telling audio selections.
I contacted Slugs & Bugs and they promptly sent me a digital download version to listen and give an opinion.
The humbly brilliant creator Randall has written selections for Caedmon’s Call, VeggieTales, Jason Gray and Ginny Owens, among others. Produced by Ben Shive (Mercy Me/Jeremy Camp/Rend Collective among others) the newly released Sing The Bible 2 is indeed full of fun and silliness. There’s monsters. And raccoons. And a sharkbug. And raisins.
But that's not their only, or main goal.
While previewing the songs, I read deeper into Randall's mission.
I realized this is not only engaging word-for-word Scripture songs, the heart behind it is what I work on every day, and many times fail greatly!
Many times. I fail. greatly.
Randall explains the struggle many parents and I face in guiding our children with Scripture.
I felt immediately connected to him as a parent!
I don't want my kids to just learn a bunch of rules, I want them to KNOW how much God loves them and how much He wants them the way they were made!
Watch below as Randall says that he wants to frame the music in a such a way that parents and kids are grasping the nature of the gospel for themselves. That even though there's all this Scripture about behavior, it's not about how you behave, it's about how God has claimed you as His own and so BECAUSE of His love we feel His transforming power!
I was beaming!
You guys, I cried.
Joy. Relief. Gratitude.
Upon recovering from the waterworks, I continued.
I don't need to mention that this cd is really not just for little ones. It's easily a whole family favorite.
The vocals and instrumental performances are excellent! Randall truly has the gift of music!
After listening closely to several of the lyrics of this beyond-delightful cd...

This track (#10) is my dream song.
I can not describe the feeling of hearing my two boys going around singing “You first, You first!” and “I don’t mind, you go ahead” in perfect harmony!
Yes, I teach. Yes, I preach. I do model. And I give opportunities.
But this. This is pure joy.
